Have you ever purchased a perfume just for its packaging?
I hate to admit this, but I have. These days I rarely buy full-size bottles. But, there was a time I’d buy a bottle of perfume just because I liked the bottle. Those days are long gone but here’s what I remember buying just for the bottle:

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Mâle is a classic, a real blockbuster worthy of its own space in the Perfume Hall of Fame¹. Perfumes themselves should give us emotions. These emotions are why I think many of us enjoy this olfactory “hobby”. We really get hooked when we smell a perfume that puts us at a loss of words. Now some perfumes give us emotions…negative emotions but I don’t see this as a bad thing. It gives us something to talk about. And today I’m talking about sad perfume names.

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular (Limited Edition) Perfume
My entire life I’ve admired Jean Paul Gaultier because Madonna circa 1992 has brainwashed me to do so. I admire the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique perfumes but I don’t wear them.
