Jovan Silky Rose Perfume Review

Jovan Silky Rose Perfume Review

Another week of Roses! Rose Cheapies – 2019

Winter has left me feeling exceptionally “blah” this year so I’m basically trying to do anything that I think will remind that my feelings and this cold season are temporary. As a distraction, I did something I tell all of ya’ll not to do. I blind-bought perfumes. But, let me explain! I bought rose-centric perfumes from a discount site, all of them selling for under $25. That seems like less of a gamble, right? This week I will see if the blind-sniffing odds

ROSE WEEK 2019  – A Coffee Rose

It’s Rose Week on EauMG! This is the annual celebration of rose-centric perfumes! This week I’m reviewing 5 fragrances that display a different aspect of rose perfumes.

Pekji is an indie brand of perfumes based in Istanbul that is now available in the U.S. I should probably start out this review with a disclaimer that the perfumer was a friend of mine before he launched his brand. Bvlgari Splendida Magnolia Sensuel Perfume Review

Bvlgari Splendida Magnolia Sensuel

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

When it comes to designer perfumes, Bvlgari is one of my personal favorite and “most worn” brands. They are typically what I wear when I want to smell good but not think about what I’m wearing. Hermes Hermessence Cedre Sambac Perfume Review

Hermes Cedre Sambac

One of my many character flaws is that I love the Hermès Hermèssence collection. I live for sheer, ephemeral things that are basically non-existent. According to online perfume platforms and other perfume-related reviews, this is a problem. But, it’s not for me. I think things that last forever on the skin are a nightmare; they’re oppressive. My attention span and patience aren’t equipped for marathon perfumes.

This year Hermès has launched additional perfumes in the Hermèssence collection. The names suggested “heavier” perfumes, but I’m a… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Atkinsons Jasmine in Tangerine Perfume Review

Atkinsons Jasmine in Tangerine

Atkinsons is one of those newly revived perfume houses. It’s a British perfume house that now offers some classics as well as additional contemporary perfumes.  Let me start out with this disclaimer – This perfume has been the only experience that I’ve had with the line and it’s in the Contemporary Collection.

Jasmine in Tangerine opens as the sort of jasmine that reminds me of hairspray. There’s a bit of tangerine peel. Something about this perfume comes across as a “period piece”. It really reminds me… Continue reading | 2 Comments
