Jacomo #02 EDP in The Art Collection is described as “a highly tactile scent”. The inspiration: “a mysterious girl who could have escaped Carlstedt’s New York Studio, leaving a trail of gum, leather, and modeling clay scents in her wake”. Now you can see why I was a little scared to try #02. Cecilia Carlstedt’s illustration is hauntingly beautiful, drawing inspiration from Guy Bourdin and Hokusai.

Best Perfumes of 2010 – A Blogging Event

2010. This was a good year for me in the beauty and fragrance world. I feel that I’ve really expanded. This year I’ve diversified my range, trying more brands. I’ve been introduced to so many wonderful lines that I haven’t tried before: Smell Bent, Pirouette Essentials, OLO Portland, Strange Invisible, Aftelier, Vero Profumo just to name a few. 2010 was a year of growth for me. Chai lovers, here is a fragrance for you! Every fall I crave spicy, chai tea like fragrances; fragrances heavy on cardamom, rich spices, and sweet honey.
