You guys know that I like the Humiecki & Graef line just because I like their insane-o inspirations. I think perfume needs that. I want more Dadaist perfumes. Anyway, Eau Radieuse doesn’t really have a bizarre-o inspiration. It’s an attempt to make a “futuristic eau de cologne”. I was hoping it would be a sci-fi eau do cologne but they didn’t consult me beforehand.
Eau Radieuse opens as lemon and mint in chilled mineral water. This fragrance is chilled and mentholated. There’s… Continue reading
Humiecki & Graef is a line of perfumes that I really respect mainly for their unusual inspirations and the fact that many actually live up to their unusual inspirations. Here we go with some more unusual backstories from Humiecki & Graef. Usually I can just laugh at their inspirations while appreciating that they “went there”. But, it’s really difficult for me to do that with Geste. Why? Well, read this:

Humiecki and Graef seem to take pride with their bizarre-o perfume inspirations. Multiple Rouge is “inspired by ecstatic joy on the cusp of sentimentality“. Whatever. This is futuristic fruit.
Jell-O mold fruit salad and some sweat. Cool, metallic pineapple suspended in raspberry/cranberry Jell-O. It’s more aluminum fruits from a distance and disco booty up close (overripe fruits). Being that it projects most people are just going to smell metal fruits. The dry-down is a fruity musk. FRUITS!
Now from a distance… Continue reading | 1 Comment
Humiecki and Graef Clemency is inspired by pride. Well, not just pride but proud, regal mothers. It’s Humiecki & Graef. Are we supposed to look into this bizarre-o inspiration? Probably not.
I’ve decided that after wearing Clemency a few times that I don’t want proud, regal moms in my perfume. Clemency is a sharp linden blossom with lime floor cleaner. This opening is so sharp that I find it unpleasant for a personal fragrance and maybe just decent as a cleaning product. The fluffy mimosa… Continue reading | 1 Comment
