Whoo! There’s a perfume inspired by the state of Georgia! I’ve always wondered why there haven’t been more perfumes inspired by Savannah or at least the coastline of Georgia. A few perfumes have reminded me of Savannah but there aren’t many that claim the city as their scent inspiration. Nomaterra Savannah is one of the few.

I wouldn’t consider myself a fan of citrus perfumes. I rarely ever want to smell like citrus, there are a few exceptions, but as a whole, I don’t like them. And within the citrus genre, I have some notes that I really don’t like. Grapefruit is one of those. They are so difficult for me to wear. They are too sulfuric and well, “cat pee” for me. My skin hates grapefruit. But, there is an exception, my skin likes DSH Perfumes Pamplemousse.

Florascent Kokiku is a fruity gourmand in the Kyoto Collection. This entire line is new to me and I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity and balance of Kokiku.
Kokiku is a delicate green tea floral. It’s a rather abstract, wearing as fresh and sheer fruity tea with a gourmand rose. The feel of Kokiku is Ellena-esque. It dries down to something that reminds me of the most delicate of white tea leaves.

The past few days in Seattle, it’s been gorgeous. We’ve had sunshine, fluffy white clouds gracing bright blue skies. Flowers are in bloom and spring green buds are dusting tree leaves. This perfect weather had me thinking about a perfume launched last year by Seattle-based Pirouette.
