In the House – Brand Spotlight on aroma M Perfume

aroma M logo

In the House is a feature on EauMG. I’m collecting my experiences from years of perfume sampling and putting together a quick brand overview. There are so many perfume lines out there that it can be overwhelming. My goal with this is to quickly introduce people to niche and indie lines that may be of interest to them.

NomaTerra Savannah Magnolia Perfume Review

Nomaterra Savannah

Whoo! There’s a perfume inspired by the state of Georgia! I’ve always wondered why there haven’t been more perfumes inspired by Savannah or at least the coastline of Georgia. A few perfumes have reminded me of Savannah but there aren’t many that claim the city as their scent inspiration. Nomaterra Savannah is one of the few.

Savannah is a raspberry green tea served with fresh grapefruit. The florals mingle with citrus and tangy raspberries. It’s all rounded out by a vanilla milkiness. The dry-down is a… Continue reading

DSH Perfumes Pamplemousse EDP Perfume Review

DSH Pamplemousse

I wouldn’t consider myself a fan of citrus perfumes. I rarely ever want to smell like citrus, there are a few exceptions, but as a whole, I don’t like them. Florascent Kokiku EDP Perfume Review

Florascent Kokiku

Florascent Kokiku is a fruity gourmand in the Kyoto Collection. This entire line is new to me and I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity and balance of Kokiku.

Kokiku is a delicate green tea floral. It’s a rather abstract, wearing as fresh and sheer fruity tea with a gourmand rose. The feel of Kokiku is Ellena-esque. It dries down to something that reminds me of the most delicate of white tea leaves.

My perfume tastes have been leaning towards the sheer and abstract lately, so… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Pirouette Perfume Gold Souvenir EDP Review

Pirouette Gold Souvenir

The past few days in Seattle, it’s been gorgeous. We’ve had sunshine, fluffy white clouds gracing bright blue skies. Flowers are in bloom and spring green buds are dusting tree leaves. This perfect weather had me thinking about a perfume launched last year by Seattle-based Pirouette. Souvenir is a perfume inspired by lazy, sunny days and that’s exactly what I get from it – yellow flowers and blue skies.

Souvenir opens with a floral astringency. It’s a fruity lavender and mimosa. If Souvenir were a color, it’d… Continue reading | 3 Comments
