Pinrose Perfume Reviews – Volume II

Pinrose perfumes

A few years ago, I reviewed perfumes by Pinrose. Since then, they’ve expanded their line adding new fragrances. They’ve also changed their packaging and marketing¹. Here’s my thoughts on some of the perfumes that I didn’t review in my initial post.

Pinrose Secret Genius

Secret Genius

Notes of Madagascan vanilla, caramel and sandalwood. Launched in 2015. PERFUMER – Harry Fremont

Secret Genius is a gourmand. It opens with flowers and a coconut-like nuttiness. The scent wears as a nutty vanilla. It eventually dries down to… Continue reading

Serendipity 3 Serendipitous Perfume Review

Serendipity 3 Serendipitous

Serendipity III is one of those New York City establishments that I think most of us living here take for granted. I know I often forget that this little joint has been around since the 1950’s. Giant milkshakes and have been ordered their by cool people like Andy Warhol and American royalty like Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis…and the rest of us. It’s been the setting of rom-coms (Serendipity, One Fine Day and the truly horrible Trust the Man). So, between Warhol, TV and movies… Continue reading | 10 Comments

Ariana Grande Moonlight Perfume Review

Ariana Grande

Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume

Thesis Natural Body Products Review (Rose Vanilla)

Thesis Beauty is an indie line of natural skincare and body products based in Massachusetts. They sent this rose lover three products to try:

Thesis Rose Body Scrub

Body Scrub in Rose Vanilla Sorbet

This is a salt scrub in a thick oil and butter base. It claims to be so moisturizing that most people don’t need to follow-up with creams/oils.

Appearance: It’s currently solid and some of the oils have “risen” to the top (it’s creamy). The base is a light pink with rose petals. The packaging… Continue reading | 11 Comments

Donna Karan DKNY Be Tempted Perfume Review

DKNY Be Tempted

When I recieved a sample of Be Tempted with a purchase, I  was going to throw it out. This is a flanker to DKNY’s Be Delicious, one of the few perfumes that gives me headaches. I thought I’d save myself from the need of sitting in a dark room for hours. For some reason, I kept it. And then for an even stranger reason, I sprayed it on my skin.

Be Tempted does smell like waxy, red Twizzlers. Like OMG, it’s so much Twizzlers.
