Ida Lupino was often referred to as “a model of modern feminist filmaking“. She often chose feminist acting roles (after a few budget “bad girl” roles) and in the early 50’s she was the first woman to direct a film-noir. She was also a writer and producer. My best guess is that this is a pic of Ida from the 1930’s. Here’s reviews and swatches of Everyday Minerals Mineral Eyeshadow, a mineral makeup company located in Austin, Texas. These colors are light neutrals ranging from a matte to a shimmer finish.

1 – Chamomile Shimmer Eyeshadow – This is an awesome pale yellow with buttery gold shimmer. This is a great base for light “ruddy” complexions. The yellow neutralizes redness on the lids. Overall it gives a very delicate look.

High Voltage Cosmetics Eyeshadow Review & Swatches – Romantic Shimmer Shades

Recently I ordered a few High Voltage Cosmetics Eyeshadow samples. I can not resist a BOGO! Here I am reviewing and swatching 4 Shimmery Eyeshadows in what I’m calling “romantic shimmer” shades. These colors are soft and pretty. Of course, they can be paired with bold colors for an edgier look,  but I wanted to put these all together because they are just pretty, so romantic and candlelit to me.

Shiseido Hydro Powder Eye Shadow Doesn't Budge

I love this stuff. It wears for a long time and it doesn’t crease! You can’t say that about every cream shadow on the market. This stuff comes in a cool glass pot and a little goes a long way. It is a creamy super shimmery formula that once applied to the lid turns more powdery and budge proof. It looks wonderful with powder shadows layered over and it makes a great shadow base.
