Klorane Mango Butter Collection Review

Klorane Mango Butter

I rarely ever review haircare products. Aside from skincare, is there anything else that really varies this much from person to person? We all have different needs and expectations. There’s also additional confounding factors like your plumbing/water, season/climate and how you style your hair (heat tools, air dry, etc.). All of this makes reviewing hair products too intimidating for me!

As with many products, results will vary. I can only give you guys my opinion/experience. I’ve decided in 2018 that I’m going to try to take… Continue reading | 15 Comments

Le Jardin Retrouve Cuir de Russie EDP Perfume Review

Le Jardin Cuir de Russie

Le Jardin Retrouvé has been revived. Originally founded in 1975, Le Jardin Retrouvé is “OG niche”. The perfumer and founder of the brand (and co-founder of the Osmothèque) passed away in 2005. Now Yuri’s son and daughter-in-law are keeping the legacy alive. The brand currently has seven fragrances based on Yuri’s original formulas.

Chantecaille Kalimantan EDP Perfume Review

Chantecaille Kalimantan perfume

Kalimantan is such an unexpected addition to the Chantecaille fragrance line. It’s quite a tale of Beauty and the Beast. We have this skanky, dirty amber beast of a fragrance in a middle of a pretty princess luxury beauty line.

L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Moisture Cream Review

L’Occitane Immoretelle Brightening Moisture Cream is a lightweight gel-cream that claims to lighten dark spots, moisturize, and firm skin with organic immortelle essential oil, daisy flower, and fig. I know this is a bit sad, but the only reason I like this cream is because I love the way it smells.

The formula is super lightweight for my normal to dry skin. This would make a good night cream for me in the summer or a day cream with sunscreen layered over it. It doesn’t… Continue reading | 5 Comments

Yves Rocher Lilac Shower Gel Review

Lilac Shower Gel

Longing for spring? Yves Rocher Pur Désir de Lilas or Lilac Shower Gel is a really nice spring floral body wash for the money. The formula lathers nicely. I use it on a loofah so there is lots of foam. The formula easily rinses off and no residue is felt. This isn’t a moisturizing shower gel, so those with dry skin may not like the formula.

The scent is a lilac soliflore. It’s a soft, feminine… Continue reading | 4 Comments
