Question of the Week: What is your HG eyeshadow palette from the drugstore?
EauMG’s Answer: There are actually many drugstore palettes that I like. For neutrals, I think L’Oreal Colour Riche La Palette Nude 1 is good (it’s like Lancôme at a cheap price). I also love Makeup Revolution Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade Palette. It’s all matte. Another great matte is e.l.f. Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette
In case you didn’t know, last month I went to Budapest on a vacation. We had a great time looking at architecture and drinking wine. But, you know me. I’m obsessed with skincare (and everything else). So, of course I took the time to check out drugstores and beauty stores. I’m embarrassed to even post what I bought because I went crazy. I blame the fact that my hotel was next to a DM Drogerie (one of my favorite stores).

A lot of people do “Anti-Hauls” on Youtube. If you aren’t familiar with these, these are videos where people talk about what they aren’t buying. With so many launches, I love the premise of this. It gives us a reason to talk about what’s new without actually participating in this makeup economy of “BUT THIS LIMITED EDITION THING!”. Here’s my version, sans video. Mexico is a diverse place and the Yucatán is its own special, isolated pocket due to its geographic location. Mérida has a rich Mayan heritage and the town is filled with Catholic cathedrals and colonial homes. It’s s such an interesting city with a resilient culture. It’s a wonderful place and we plan on returning soon.
I’d love to talk more about my trip but for the sake of this blog, I’ll keep it focused on beauty.
