Etat Libre d'Orange Bendelirious

I think Etat Libre d’Orange Bendelirious may be a perfume inspired by a fictional, carefree, fashion victim New Yorker  – I’m thinking a mix of Carrie Bradshaw and generic, young socialite. You can tell this from the brand’s copy. Bendelirious can go from rich socialite to “urban fairy” that drunkingly dances on tables. Frankly, if Bendelirious were an actual woman that I knew or casually encountered, I’m sure she’d get on my very last nerve. Etat Libre d'Orange Noel au Balcon

I’ve never been a person that likes “Christmas” scents. I find them nauseating and honestly, I don’t have any positive associations with this time of year. I wanted to try Noel au Balcon for the nigella note. Nigella is a seed with a spicy, herbal “green” flavor that is used in Armenian string cheese. It’s one of my favorite spices. Etat Libre d’Orange Jasmin et Cigarette EDP Perfume Review

Jasmin et Cigarettes is time travel in a bottle. It’s a jazzy, skanky jasmine with this dry, hay-like, fresh pack of cigarettes. A very realistic, freshly opened pack of smokes. But, that isn’t all. If you wanted that, one could purchase a heavily taxed pack of cigarettes. You do get jasmine, but that isn’t what impresses me (actually this jasmine is quite “low brow”). I love the fruity, chewy addition of osmanthus like apricot. I think this is brilliant: hay, dried apricot florals and a fresh pack of ciggarettes. You can do your own reading of the ridiculous back story/inspiration of Etat Libre d’Orange Fat Electrician on Now Smell This and Blogdorf Goodman. It’s a “modern vetiver” loosely based on “Midnight Cowboy”, that’s all the back story I’m giving. Etat Libre d’Orange irritates me with their names and inspirations, well, most of the time.
