Chanel Les Eaux de Cologne Paris – Venise Perfume Review

Chanel Venise

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

If you followed by Instagram Stories this past summer, you already know that I wore Chanel Venise a lot. There’s a few reasons for this. The first reason was I moved and didn’t have access to all my perfumes. The second reason is because I genuinely love it. This is the sort of thing I wanted to wear all summer.

Chanel launched three EDTs in their Les Eaux de Cologne collection this past summer. I went by a Chanel boutique after they were… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Diptyque Oyedo Perfume Review

Diptyque Oyedo

After a hiatus due to moving and traveling, I have decided to bombard this perfume blog with “weird eau de colognes” this week. It’s hot, humid and gross. I want to smell fresh and clean but with something that is a little more interesting than the usual. Like Mugler Hot Cologne, Diptyque Oyédo is a citrus with a twist.

EauMG’s 2015 List – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

2015 was a year of so many changes for me. I mean, I moved across the country. This takes some adjustment. We live in a different region. We have different jobs. Even our possessions are different because we got rid of mostly everything before the big ‘ole transcontinental move. This year has been such a blur. I can’t remember what happened or didn’t happen because so much happened.

Regarding the blog and perfume, I’ve been lazy. I’ve been more interested in wearing and enjoying the perfumes that I already own. I have been behind on new launches. There are too many to keep… Continue reading | 19 Comments

Juliette Has a Gun Gentlewoman EDP Perfume Review

Juliette Has A Gun Gentlewoman

Gentlewoman is the newest perfume from Juliette Has a Gun. It’s a “masculine fragrance dedicated to women”. It’s a modern “eau de cologne”. This sort of marketing usually irks me for many reasons. Number 1, it plays on gender marketing which is rather annoying in the fragrance industry, especially in the niche market.¹ Number 2, if one wants to play with societal and cultural gender norms, then just wear a “classic eau de cologne” or whatever. Go shopping where men go shopping… Continue reading | 4 Comments

EauMG’s 15 Favorite Masculines for Feminines

I’ve already done a feature, Feminines for Masculines so I had to do Masculines for Feminines. This is a look at perfumes that I recommend for feminine types/women, even though they are marketed as masculine. Because of this, you’ll see less niche and indie perfumes on the list as many indie brands are post-gender. So, I’ve excluded perfumes that are marketed as unisex and I’ve included those that you’ll find in the “men’s” section of your favorite beauty or department store.
