Question of the Week: Name three skincare products (face and/or body) that are staples for you in cold weather months.
EauMG’s Answer: My cold weather staples are so boring. I like simple, nourishing products. For my body, I’m a huge fan of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. There’s no way that my lips can go through winter without Aquaphor. When my skin needs extra moisture, I like to use Paula’s Choice Renewal Oil
Over the next few months, I thought I’d focus on my “unconventional beauty” products. These are the sort of products that aren’t your typical beauty products (like makeup or topical skincare). Years ago, I tried Kahina Giving Beauty Argan Oil. The line has since expanded to include a variety of skincare products. I’ve tried the Beauty Serum. The line also has a Brightening Serum; that’s not the one I tried.
The claims: Repair tissue damage. Prevent moisture loss. Calm irritation. Reduce inflammation. Protect skin damage from UV rays. Combat flaky skin.
Ingredients: argania spinosa (argan) kernel oil*, coffea arabica (coffee) seed oil*, bisabolol, punica granatum (pomegranate) seed extract*, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract*, hippophae rhamnoides (seabuckthorn)
I have reviewed quite a few Providence Perfume Co. perfumes on EauMG and I’m surprised that I’m just know getting around to reviewing the line’s body oil!
The Formula & My Experience: It’s a blend of apricot, sweet almond, safflower, aloe and jojoba. I have very dry skin and prefer oils as moisturizers. I love this formula because it is very nourishing but absorbs very quickly in comparison to other natural oils that I’ve used.
