Well, it’s about time that I review one of my favorite iris perfumes, Dior Homme. And one of my favorite designer masculines…ever.

Dior Homme opens with a sharp lavender that quickly fades into a clean, classic interpretation of an  “eau de cologne” with citrus and herbs. It smells like an Italian holiday. Mitzah is inspired by Dior’s muse and friend, Mitzah Bricard. She liked leopard print. And dames in leopard print should inspire perfumes.

Mitzah opens as a soft amber with a noticeable cool, metallic coriander note. The cinnamon in this reminds me of the cinnamon in Malle Musc Ravaguer. Mitzah is an amber, a seamless amber. It isn’t overly spicy. It isn’t “hefty”; nor, is it sheer. Mitzah is just right. With time it becomes this musky honeyed amber with hints of smoke.
