Le Jardin Retrouvé has been revived. Originally founded in 1975, Le Jardin Retrouvé is “OG niche”. The perfumer and founder of the brand (and co-founder of the Osmothèque) passed away in 2005. Now Yuri’s son and daughter-in-law are keeping the legacy alive. The brand currently has seven fragrances based on Yuri’s original formulas.
I love carnation fragrance but I feel like there aren’t many to choose from. There’s a couple of old classics and there’s a few modern scents (that are less soliflore-y). When you think about how many rose soliflores there are, you’d expect more than a handful of carnations. But, that’s the way it is. Carnation is usually the back up singer.
Seems as if Dior and Givenchy accidentally got some wires crossed for their Fall 2008 Color Collections. Givenchy has released some of their items and they are a bit “dandy”. This new Givenchy Pocket Beauty Case plays along with the 1930’s, old Hollywood androgyny, and 1970’s Faye Dunaway vibe. This is a new adorable silver Givenchy logo-ed “pocket watch” styled beauty case. It houses a dewy shimmering sheer pink highlighter that can be used on lips, cheeks, chest, or shoulders. Dior has launched their fall collection known merely as “Dandy” and I am in love for many reasons. It’s part Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde and part bad ass bronzed eyed gangsta.
