HEELEY Figuier EDP Perfume Review

HEELEY Figuier EDP

For personal and sentimental reasons, I must try all of the figs. So far, this has ended up with me owning all of the figs…

HEELEY Figuier is one that I need to add to my collection of figs.

The opening of Figuier is not my favorite when it comes to fig scents. It’s like coconut and sweet pickles and dried anise. I get a whiff of Armenian cucumbers and then it all sort of mellows out into this dense, rich fig. I notice that… Continue reading | 9 Comments

Heeley Sel Marin EDP Perfume Review

HEELEY Sel Marin

As I mentioned in my Perfume Picks for Summer 2013 video, I was slow to warm up to Heeley Sel Marin. It wasn’t that I disliked it, but I didn’t exactly “get” it when I tried it in 2008. It read to me as some nice citrus-cucumber thing made for summer holidays. Keep in mind, I’m from a landlocked state. One of the many reasons I moved was to smell saltwater. Creed Love in Black EDP Perfume Review

Creed Love in Black EDP

I can not emphasize to perfume newbies enough just how important it is to try stuff on the skin before ever considering buying. Villainess Chloroform and Jade Soap Reviews

I’ve reviewed a few Villainess soap bars in the past. And here are 2 quick reviews of the “green” bars.

Villainess Soaps

Chloroform – “Crisp cucumber, sickly sweet green vegetation, a dizzy whiff of violets, mind-numbing plum, and a stiff shot of anesthitizing vermouth.”

Chloroform is the soapiest of the Villainess scents that I have tried. This isn’t a bad thing when we’re talking about soap. Chloroform is a green violet and cucumber with a soapy cleanness to it. The bar is a pale green. I recommend… Continue reading | 1 Comment

A Dozen Roses Electron EDP Perfume Review

A Dozen Roses Electron EDP

The newest addition to the A Dozen Roses line is Electron. It is described as “A shock to the senses…clean, fresh, fabulous”. Would I ever call it a shocking fragrance? No. It’s an inoffensive and pretty fragrance in a gorgeous bottle.

Electron opens with a bergamot green tea and melon-cucumber. It’s light, airy, watery, fresh. I get floral, no particular floral but I do get “petals”, fresh and green florals. The top fades rather quickly and the fruity rose middle becomes more prominent… Continue reading | 8 Comments
