Isn’t this just the “classic” makeup look? I see this picture of the breathtaking Elaine Stewart and I get the urge to wear red lipstick daily (not that I don’t already have that urge). Here’s what I did to get this elegant 1950’s makeup look:

FACE: With my Elizabeth Arden Foundation Brush, I applied Lancôme Absolue Makeup in Ecru 10. Under the eyes to cover up dark circles, I applied Covergirl Simply

More 1950’s Fashion: Get the Makeup Look of Diana Dors

So, it’s New Year’s Eve. I wanted to do an over the top disco inspired look, but this pick of Diana Dors is festive enough. And I’m staying home. That’s never stopped me before, but I’m just not feeling like it today. Don’t you think Diana looks blonder than usual in this pic? It’s verging on silver to match her top! More of the 1920’s: Get the Makeup Look of Barbara Lamarr

Barbara LaMarr’s look is quite the Betty Boop look, huh? Here’s my attempt to recreate this look for the modern day. I’m not very happy with my final outcome. I could not get the right lighting!  For some reason I kept coming out excessively pink. Sunburn from the rare winter sunshine in Western Washington? I think not.
