Everyday Minerals Blush Review – Corals

Everyday Minerals Coral Blush Review

I’m reviewing and swatching 6 Everyday Minerals Loose Mineral Cheek Colors in coral shades with various finishes.

F. Matte Blush in Nick Nack – A matte, light warm peach (pink with lots of yellow undertones). This is a very natural looking shade on me. In fact, it barely shows up, but this is a good thing with certain makeup looks.

E. Matte Blush in Weekend Getaway – A matte dusty peach for light to medium skin tones.

More 1940’s Fashion: Get the Makeup Look of Gail Russell

1940's style icon Gail Russell

I love this cute Western photograph of Gail Russell. And you know I love orange lipstick. And I love dark hair. So, this is a look that I really, really like. I find this look really does work well with complexions similar to Gail’s. The coral/orange lipstick really makes blue eyes pop and it’s a nice contrast with black or brunette hair colors.  To get this look:

FACE: Gail has a flawless complexion. Apply a foundation primer such as Smashbox Photo Finish Targeted

More of the 1950’s: Get The Look of Märta Torén

Marta Toren

I love a rusty colored lip. And can one go wrong with retro cateyes? Nope.

To get beautiful Märta Torén’s look:

FACE: Marta’s complexion is flawless. Apply concealer where needed. Shiseido Concealer Stick can cover anything from blemishes to undereye circles. Follow up with foundation. Try a mousse foundation like Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation. This is a nice formula and it looks great if you buff it after applying with a “buff” brush. Lightly dust a translucent powder over the face. I love… Continue reading
