East Village

October felt like a blur, like it went by very quickly. The weather was mild and I’ve been amazed by fall. I’ve never really lived in a place with such defined seasons. This was like perfect weather with long shadows and vivid leaves. There were a few cold nights but overall, it was mild and well, perfect.

I went to a few fragrance events. Osswald had a Coolife event that I stopped by briefly. Aedes has… Continue reading | 17 Comments

O’Driu Eva Kant EDP Perfume Review

O'Driu Eva Kant

O’Driu created a perfume inspired by the badass Italian comic book character Eva Kant of Diabolik. TIGI Bed Head Urban Canvas Hair Products & A Review

TIGI Bed Head Urban Canvas Collection

This is dangerous info to leak out – I love when companies launch “artist collections”. I’ve been known to purchase items just for the limited edition packaging. Dangerous, I know, but I can’t help it. I love pretty products.

I was stoked when I heard TIGI Bed Head was launching an artist collaboration collection. The Urban Canvas Collection features 4 popular Bed Head products with art designed by 3 artists: Jim Mahfood/Food One (checkout his Grrl Scouts comics. Do it.)… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Azzaro Chrome EDT Perfume Review

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

I will never understand why the mainstream fragrance industry thinks men want to smell like metals and other impersonal, machine-like things. I also don’t understand why the industry only wants mean to smell like hedione and metallic, cold showers. I want my partner to smell warm, approachable, cuddly. Azzaro Chrome is as soft, cuddly, and approachable as the Silver Surfer – cold and stand-offish but with a masculine six pack!

Chrome opens up as cool… Continue reading | 12 Comments
