Ayala Moriel Sunset Beach Natural EDP Perfume Review

Ayala Moriel Sunset Beach

Ayala Moriel Parfums newest perfume, Sunset Beach, is one of those perfumes inspired by beaches that manages to not smell like tanning lotion or the sort of functional fragrances we’d associate with a day at the beach. For the most part, this is a rarity in the perfume world. So many “beach fragrances” rely on the sort of scents used in products, not the beach. Sage Machado Onyx Perfume Oil Review

Sage Onyx Perfume

In the summer, I put together an updated guide to coconut perfumes. At the end of this post, I included my “must try” coconut perfumes. Sage Machado Onyx made the list. I realized that I have yet to review what I consider one of my favorite coconut perfumes.

4160 Tuesdays What I Did on Holiday

One of the things that I’ve learned is that coastal towns of the same latitude are really similar despite their political boundaries. Now coastal “touristy” towns are even more similar. The shops are the same. The restaurants are the same (always fried fish and potatoes). And the candies are usually the same. It’s something sticky and sugary either it be taffy or candy floss. There’s typically some sort of dinky arcade and rides. Now I’m in Washington and the beaches here are lovely but… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Malle Carnal Flower EDP Perfume Review

Malle Carnal Flower
She’d sit very close to me…and she smelled of tuberoses, which is not my favorite perfume, not by a long shot.”

                        – William Holden as Joe Gillis, “Sunset Boulevard” (1950)

Tuberoses were never easy for me. There were not my favorite perfumes, not by a long shot either. But, one day I woke up, seriously, after an unusual dream and I felt the need to find myself a tuberose perfume. I wish… Continue reading | 19 Comments
