L’Artisan Parfumeur had a line of “numbered” perfumes that were once a limited run of exclusive perfumes that well, they decided to bring back as non-limited, non-exclusive AKA “permanent” perfumes. I assume that this exclusive model A. worked for them and they wanted to continue selling these or B. didn’t work for them at all and they decided to lower the price and bring these to mass market. Anyway, Mon Numéro 10 is an amber perfume from “the numbers” collection.

She wore Oud Velvet….
Oud Velvet Mood is one of the ouds by Maison Francis Kurkdjian that is meant to represent “textures”. Now this line is rather pricey, but I do think they are well done. They do display the “textures” of oud. And they’re weird but so is fungal infected wood.
Oud Velvet Mood opens with a cool sharpness that reminds me of varnish. In the fragrance world, this is what we’d call “medicinal”. It reminds me of a mix… Continue reading | 6 Comments

Indigo Vanilla is a perfume in the latest trio, Souvenir de Chocolate, by indie brand, Envoyage Perfumes. This perfume is “Inspired by the sensuous and sultry jazz of the 20’s, and the creamy goodness of New Orleans hot chocolate made with steamed milk, sumptuous whipped cream, and topped with violette sucrée”. My nose doesn’t pick up on the jazz and New Orleans inspiration with this one. Instead I’m reminded of a Christmas. So, here’s my Christmas in July review…
Indigo Vanilla opens with cinnamon sugar. It’s… Continue reading
