MariaLux Yours Deeply Perfume Review

Maria Lux Yours Deeply

It’s technically spring in the Northern Hemisphere and I’m over here wearing perfumes that smell like autumn. MariaLux Yours Deeply is one of those spicy, boozy perfumes that manages to smell rich, dark, deep…indulgent.

Yours Deeply is a rich, deep fragrance. It opens with an animalic honey and a barnyard oud. But, there’s also a heavy dose of warm spices and hot apple cider (that reminds me very much of Hermès Hermèssence Ambre Narguile). The spices, the honeyed sweetness and candied citrus keeps this… Continue reading | 2 Comments

Atelier des Ors Lune Feline Perfume Review

Atelier des Ors Lune Feline

I don’t consider myself a vanilla person at all. There are plenty that I’ve reviewed on EauMG that I like but not enough to buy or even wear. Vanilla haven’t ever really resonated with me. Aftelier Amber Tapestry Natural Perfume Review

Aftelier Amber Tapestry

When I moved to the NYC area, I started to take up tapestry weaving as a hobby. I don’t know why I decided to do such a thing while living in such a small space, but I did. I really enjoyed it. I still have a primitive handloom with an unfinished piece on it, but it just stares… Continue reading

MariaLux Mogadess EDP Perfume Review

MariaLux Mogadess

Last week, I reviewed Caron Nuit de Noel, a classic perfume that’s very Caron-y but not really Christmas-y (or at least it doesn’t remind me of Christmas). This had me thinking, which perfumes smell like Christmas? I’ve always thought Serge Lutens Fille en Aiguelles, a perfume that reminds me of spicy evergreens and apple cider, is holiday-ish. Etro Rajasthan  reminds me of Swedish Christmas cookies. Spicy perfumes like Aramis JHL and Estee Lauder Cinnabar

Raw Spice Bar Subscription Overview & A Review

Raw Spice Bar

Raw Spice Bar is a monthly subscription program that sends small spice packs with a regional theme. You also receive recipes that show you how to use your spice blends.

This isn’t really “perfume” related but I think it applies to Perfume People. We tend to appreciate flavors as much as we do scents. Also, food, drinks and spices could easily be considered my “other hobby”. I included this subscription in my 2015 Gift Guide for Natural Beauties and there was an interest, so I thought I’d… Continue reading | 2 Comments
