Scent a Disney Villain

I’ve had enough cold weather and oppressive daily life, so I ran away to Disney World for a few days.

Growing up, I was never really a Disney fan. And I didn’t visit a Disney theme park until I was like 30. And to my surprise, I loved it. And probably for reasons nobody cares about. I’m amazed by their efficiency, planning and attention to all details. And their AI and technology! But, anyway. I like Disney for geeky reasons. Plus, I like Dole Whips.

I was one of those kids that didn’t really like Disney because… Continue reading | 25 Comments

EauMG’s December 2015 Favorites

Bergdorf Christmas 2015
One of Bergdorf’s windows.

December was a stressful month. I think it’s that way for a lot of people. For me,  there was a lot to wrap up before 2016. I can’t really remember much from December other than working and beating deadlines.

EauMG’s Most Worn Perfume – Summer 2015 Edition

Most Worn Perfumes 15

When I was putting together this list of the most worn perfumes of summer 2015, I almost felt like I had some sort of amnesia. This summer felt so long. Thanks to my Favorites posts, I had some idea of what I wore the most. And also those posts helped me realize that there wasn’t something wrong with me or my memory. This was a super busy,  borderline disorientating summer for me.

It was our first summer on the East Coast. It’s… Continue reading | 13 Comments

Chanel Les Exclusifs 1932 EDT Perfume Review

Chanel Les Exclusifs 1932

UPDATE – This is a review of the EDT. The fragrances have been reformulated and are now available in an EDP concentration. There are noticeable differences between the two formulations.

Chanel 1932 is inspired by first High Jewelry Collection. It’s a perfume inspired by jewels. And when it comes to perfumery, that’s not necessarily original. However, when it comes to jewels, I expect Chanel to interpret this better than anyone since this brand has never met an aldehyde that it didn’t like. And is there… Continue reading | 5 Comments

Chanel Les Exclusifs No. 18 EDT Perfume Review

Chanel No. 18 perfume

Over the past few years something unpredictable has happened. I’ve become a Chanel fangirl. I can’t get enough of aldehydes, iris and in general, aloof compositions. And if this is what you’re into, Chanel is the brand for you. And to me, it seems rather punk¹ for me to wear such austere, “official” perfumes. Over the past few years, I’ve welcomed quite a fe Chanels into my life. No. 18 from Les Exclusifs has been one that I’ve worn a lot of. It’s a minimalist yet very… Continue reading | 10 Comments
