Don’t be tricked by the “cherry” in this perfumer’s name. Thorn & Bloom Stranger in the Cherry Grove isn’t a fruity perfume. This is a botanical perfume that is like charred woods and smoke.
Perhaps it was a romantic rendezvous lit by firewood, a bonfire-side party in your home town when your visiting from college or maybe holidays spent at a loved one’s home, there’s something about smoky fragrances that people find nostalgic. It appears like many of us have pleasant memories… Continue reading
For many, many years now, I’ve been a fan girl of the DSH Perfumes line. The brand has an extensive catalog that at times can be very overwhelming. Testing something as bright and sunny as Phoenix Botanicals Peach Tree Garden when there is snow on the ground should feel so wrong, but it doesn’t. Peach Tree Garden is a reminder that underneath the ice, there’s life. It’s a reminder that in a few months what are now bare branches will soon be covered with pastel blossoms.
Peach Tree Garden opens with juicy citrus and a “chewy” saffron. This enhances the warmth and ripeness of peach flesh .It wears as a… Continue reading | 12 Comments
