Spaceship Earth

I thought March was going to be a great month but it ended up being a real doozy.

In the beginning of the month we went to Orlando for a few days to enjoy sunshine and Disney World. It was spring break, so it was packed. It was an OK trip, but it was exhausting as well. I suppose most trips are.

When I got back, I ended up getting the flu. This was the first year that I didn’t get a… Continue reading | 16 Comments

Byredo in NYC

The temperatures were milder in September so I ventured out of my A/C bunker a few times. Overall, it was a chill month.

I visited a few museums but still not as many as I wanted. Since moving here, museums are one of my new hobbies. I went to a few drag shows and got to see Seattle’s “jift” to the world, Dina Martina. I sort of joked that wherever we live has to have a Chinatown, a… Continue reading | 15 Comments

Manhattan from a good side.

August was one of those months that felt like it was just dragging along. I was so over the heat and was sick of hiding away in my A/C bunker. July was an uneventful and much welcomed “chill” month for us. After the past few months, we’ve needed some time to recover. We’re also not use to heat and humidity after being spoiled by mild Seattle weather, so we often feel like taking it easy on the weekends (easy meaning hanging indoors with a/c). I hate complaining about the heat when I know that winter is going to be brutal, but we’re not used to extreme weather. We’re wimps.

March was the busiest month that I’ve had in a very long time. It was a whirlwind that I barely remember. So much happened in March. We decided that we we would move from Seattle to the NYC area. I quit my day job. We sold or gave away 99% of our possessions. My mom flew out from the East Coast so that she could drive the frugs across the country (shipping dogs, especially smooshies is about as complex as it sounds). We bought… Continue reading | 17 Comments
