Vanilla Smoke is the newest perfume from Aftelier. As the name implies, this is a fragrance that pairs vanilla with smoky notes (and in this case from lapsang souchong tea). With cooler temperatures, shorter days and dead leaves crunching beneath steps, I must admit that I’ve never been more ready for a perfume called “Vanilla Smoke”.

EauMG celebrated its seventh anniversary last month. I was too busy to make a big fuss over it but yeah, I’ve been writing about perfume for over seven years. Illuminum Tribal Black Tea comes from the tribe of Earl Grey. This is a citrus black tea. And you know, you’d think that Perfume World would be saturated with those, but the Perfume World really isn’t.
Tribal Black Tea opens with a Earl Grey tea with an addition of lemon and cardamom. I sort of wish I were drinking it instead of wearing it…It wears as a linear Earl Grey and then dries down to a candied orange peel with a sheer amber.
