Aquolina Pink Sugar Sensual EDT Perfume Review

Pink Sugar Sensual

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

I already wrote a post on why I think the cult classic Aquolina Pink Sugar is a masterpiece. The original is this sweet gourmand that has somehow been appropriate by “alternative” subcultures. I’ve avoided the Pink Sugar flankers because I feared they would “mess” with my positive relationship with Pink Sugar. With a little push from Elisa of The French Exit, I finally opened my Pink Sugar Sensual sample.

Van Cleef & Arpels Feerie EDP Perfume Review

Van Cleef & Arpels Feerie

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

“Why did you buy a Tinker Bell perfume? Were they all out of Hello Kitty?”, David asks. And I admit that explaining that Van Cleef & Arpels Féerie isn’t actually a Disney branded Tinker Bell perfume is difficult. A Beautiful Life Smitten PINK Perfume Oil Review

A Beautiful Life Smitten

A Beautiful Life Smitten PINK is a fruity-floral with self-described “Southern florals”. And I do get Southern florals in it but it doesn’t conjure up a Southern belle. Instead I get a festival chick.

Union Gunpowder Rose EDP

Rose Week 2014

It’s difficult to not think of an ill-fated love story set in the time of war. But, most likely being such a British house, this perfume is inspired by Guy Fawkes Day.

Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Rose Muskissime EDT Perfume Review

MPG Rose Muskissime

Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Rose Muskissime is a sophisticated fruity-floral perfume. Plus, I love to say the name “Rose Must Kiss a Me.”

Rose Muskissime reminds me of a living rose….with tropical fruits. I pick up pineapple and ripe papaya. The black currant is gorgeous in this. In the heart, I get the green rose and carnation, the fruits become more subtle. The dry down wears closely to the skin and smells like salty skin musk. Rose M. is on holiday and she’s not going to… Continue reading
