Tom Ford Rive d’Ambre Perfume Review

Tom Ford Rive d'Ambre

A name can really make or break a perfume. Is that fair? Absolutely not. But, it’s a first impression for most of us that sniff perfume. I’ve always liked Tom Ford Private Blend Rive d’Ambre despite rarely hearing anything about the perfume. The problem is its name. It’s “Rive d’Ambre”. This suggests an amber. It’s not. Also, this is in the “Atelier d’O*ient” collection which is going to suggest amber-style perfumes. Once again, Rive d’Ambre is not a classic amber perfume. So let’s just move on… Continue reading | 2 Comments

Ormonde Jayne Vanille d’Iris Perfume Review

Ormonde Jayne Vanille d'Iris

If you live in the U.S., I’m sure you’ve noticed a huge influx of Ormonde Jayne perfumes. It seems like everyone is carrying them. I’m not complaining. This has always been a brand that I liked but because of distribution and the fact that I never travel to London, I wasn’t buying anything from them. Jennifer Lopez Still Perfume Review

Jennifer Lopez Still

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

As someone that doesn’t like attention, wearing Still used to embarrass me… Continue reading | 13 Comments

Lancome Tresor in Love EDP Perfume Review

Lancome Tresor in Love

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

Or even worse, why make a perfume that suggests that it’s related to its epic namesake and instead give us some generic pink pepper floral? When it comes to flankers in Perfume World, many of us have very impassioned feelings towards these “scent sequels”.

Personally… Continue reading | 2 Comments

Parfums Rosine La Cologne de Rosine EDP Perfume Review

Parfums Rosine Cologne de Rosine

Updated interpretations of “classic eau de colognes” has been a huge trend in the perfume world in 2015. And I’m rather enjoying this trend. I tend to wear a lot of crisp, clean citrus colognes in the hot months of summer. And in all honesty, I was getting a little tired of my rotation. I really do want something new that is still fresh and not overwhelming in heat and humidity.

The newest perfume from French-based brand, Les Parfums de Rosine is La… Continue reading | 2 Comments
