1960’s Fashion: Get the Makeup Look of Gina Lollobrigida

I love this early 60’s look of the glamorous Gina Lollobrigida. Humphrey Bogart once said that “for sex appeal, Gina makes Marilyn Monroe look like Shirley Temple.” Wow. I love a man that prefers brunettes, like I needed another reason to love Humphrey Bogart. Speaking of the hair, love the hair color too. Makes me want to get a warm glaze. Here’s what I did to get a similar look:

Isn’t this just the “classic” makeup look? I see this picture of the breathtaking Elaine Stewart and I get the urge to wear red lipstick daily (not that I don’t already have that urge). Here’s what I did to get this elegant 1950’s makeup look:

April 1954

I love Ursula’s look on this Photoplay cover. It is such a timeless makeup look. It’s all about a flawless complexion and luscious lips. I also find her hair worn down very sexy. Many of the pictures of early 1950’s starlets feature their hair curled and worn up. This look really works with many complexions but it looks really amazing on warm skintones with brunette or black hair. To get this timeless look:

I love Dorothy Dandridge. This is a beautiful picture of her. She’s pretty in pink 🙂 I am also loving her thick brows in this pic. This look can work for many complexions, eye colors, and hair colors. Here’s the colors that I used to achieve this classic 1950’s pink makeup look.
