1960’s Fashion: Get the Makeup Look of Gina Lollobrigida

I love this early 60’s look of the glamorous Gina Lollobrigida. Humphrey Bogart once said that “for sex appeal, Gina makes Marilyn Monroe look like Shirley Temple.” Wow. I love a man that prefers brunettes, like I needed another reason to love Humphrey Bogart. Speaking of the hair, love the hair color too. Makes me want to get a warm glaze. Here’s what I did to get a similar look:

FACE: Under the eyes, I applied with a concealer brush, MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC30 and… Continue reading | 8 Comments

More of the 1960’s: Get The Look of Tuesday Weld

This look is a bit “drier” than what I like but I’m a sucker for orange lipstick. Here’s what I did to get this 1960’s Tuesday inspired look:

FACE: With a foundation brush, I applied Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation in Buff 3. I need more coverage under the eyes, so I applied Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer in Soft Honey. 1960’s Fashion: Get the Makeup Look of Anouk Aimee

Makeup look of Anouk Aimee

Pink maribou! False eyelashes! What isn’t there to love? Here’s what I did to get a flirty 1960’s look inspired by the lovely French actress, Anouk Aimée.

EYES: Being a look that is all about the eyes, I started there. First I applied, e.l.f. Essentials Eyelid Primer as an eye makeup foundation. While that is drying, I applied Alima Pure Satin Matte Eyeshadow in Raven, a dark brown, to brows with a hard, slanted brow brush. For… Continue reading | 10 Comments

1960’s Fashion – Get the Makeup Look of Suzanne Pleshette

1960's actress Suzanne Pleshette

Time for another Hitchcock gal look! Other than the hair, Suzanne’s look is modern looking. This 1960’s look is very neutral with glowing complexion. Because this is a “natural” look, it works for everyone. Here’s what I did to get this Suzanne Pleshette inspired look:

FACE: I applied Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Light with my fingers. With a foundation brush, I applied Lancôme Absolue Makeup in Ecru 10. With a concealer brush, I applied Covergirl Simply
