1960’s Fashion – Get the Makeup Look of Mia Farrow

Mia Farrow

Mia Farrow is such a fashion icon and one of those people whose style I can never copy. I’m not gamine enough. But, that’s not going to stop me from attempting this 1960’s makeup look of the beautiful Mia Farrow. Here’s what I did to get a similar look:

FACE: I evened out my complexion with a tinted moisturizer. I used Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in Golden and blended with my fingers. I went with a tinted moisturizer for freckles to show through… Continue reading | 2 Comments

The Lipstick League – week of 1.9.12

Question of the Week: What’s your go-to eyeshadow brush?

EauMG’s Answer: I’m not much of an eye makeup person. I keep it neutral most days and wear eye liner on the top lashes. I love Sonia Kashuk shadow brushes. The Eye Shadow Brush set is great. It contains a fluffy brush and a blending brush.

FACE: Under the eyes, I applied with a concealer brush, MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC30 and… Continue reading | 8 Comments

More of the 1960’s: Get The Look of Tuesday Weld

This look is a bit “drier” than what I like but I’m a sucker for orange lipstick. Here’s what I did to get this 1960’s Tuesday inspired look:

FACE: With a foundation brush, I applied Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation in Buff 3. I need more coverage under the eyes, so I applied Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer in Soft Honey. With a powder brush, I applied Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent. Under the cheek bones, I applied with a blush brush,

1960’s Fashion – Get the Makeup Look of Anna Karina

Anna KarinaIt should come to no surprise to anyone that I have been obsessed with Anna Karina for sometime. One of my artistic and beauty icons for many years. I’ve been out of my “French New Wave” fashion phase since my early 20’s. But, lately, I’ve had a yearning for thick bangs, long hair, and heavy eyeliner. Well, the only thing I can do now is the makeup (and even that has changed, not as easy to get such a crisp eyeliner look these days). Here’s what I did to… Continue reading | 5 Comments
