The Lipstick League – Week of 3.21.16

Question of the Week: In honor of Easter and springtime in general: do you like pastels when it comes to color cosmetics? If so, tell us a few of your favorites!

EauMG’s Answer: The reason that I rarely ever splurge on any limited edition spring makeup collections is because they’re pastel. I don’t really like “clear pastels”. For example, if I wear an eyeshadow in the pink family, I like dustier shades like mauve

1970’s Fashion – Get the Makeup Look of Rita Lee

Rita Lee

I love Rita Lee. I love any woman that plays a theremin. Here’s my non-fussy simple early 1970’s makeup look inspired by Rita Lee here:

FACE: Rita’s freckles show through. I applied Lancôme Beinfait Multi-Vital Tinted Moisturizer in Sand for sheer coverage. I need more coverage under the eyes, so I applied Covergirl Simply Ageless Concealer in Corrector with my fingers. FACE: With my fingers, I blended Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Foundation in Beige Clair. Under the eyes, I applied Covergirl Simply Ageless Concealer in Corrector. With the brush included… Continue reading | 5 Comments

1970’s Fashion: Get the Makeup Look of Elga Andersen

This isn’t usually the type of look that we moderns think of when we think “70’s”. This is classic babe. Classic babe doesn’t really change. Here’s what I did to get this Elga inspired look:

FACE: Under the eyes with my fingers, I applied Covergirl Simply Ageless Concealer in Corrector. With a foundation brush, I applied Lancôme Absolue Makeup in Ecru 10. I go over that and blend/soften with a Beautyblender. With a powder brush, I applied Rimmel Stay Matte
