Here’s a 1951 Motion Picture magazine cover of actress Jane Powell. It’s a classic early 1950’s look featuring bold lips and minimal eye makeup. Here’s what I did to get a similar Jane Powell look:

FACE: I applied Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Foundation in Beige Clair with a foundation brush. Using a concealer brush, I applied e.l.f. All Over Cover Stick in Apricot Beige under my eyes and over dark spots. With my fancy shmancy Caron Powder Puff, I applied Caron La

Divine Divine is a perfume that wears you. This is perfume. It smells like perfume. It wasn’t created to smell like a Mediterranean holiday or exotic trade spice routes. Divine was meant to smell  like perfume. Old-fashioned and glamorous French perfume for fabulous grown-up and glamorous ladies. Shirley MacLaine…you have to love her for her quirkiness alone. Here’s a late 1950’s look inspired by Shirley:

FACE: Under the eyes with a concealer brush, I applied MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW20 and blended.
