The Lipstick League – week of 8.3.15

Question of the Week: Name the ONE blush you find yourself reaching for the most right now.

EauMG’s Answer: I have a Kryolan Matte Blush Palette. There’s a shade in the palette that I can’t get enough of. It’s a matte shade that is like a matte pastel lavender. It’s amazing. And now I’m on the hunt for more purple and pink/lavender blushes.

The Lipstick League – week of 8.4.14

Question of the Week: What is the one step in your daily makeup routine that you dislike the most? What is the one step you love the most?

EauMG’s Answer: I know this makes me sound so boring, but it’s classic Aquaphor. It’s multi-purpose and I can’t live without it.

1930’s Fashion – Get the Makeup Look of Ida Lupino

1940's Ida Lupino

Ida Lupino was often referred to as “a model of modern feminist filmaking“. She often chose feminist acting roles (after a few budget “bad girl” roles) and in the early 50’s she was the first woman to direct a film-noir. She was also a writer and producer. My best guess is that this is a pic of Ida from the 1930’s. She spent most of the 1930’s blonde but this photo has been colored and I think they did her hair in her natural brown… Continue reading | 6 Comments
