Coty Muguet Des Bois Perfume Review

Coty Muguet des Bois is an old-school lily-of-the-valley perfume. Today’s version isn’t complicated and it’s not expensive. This is one of my favorite cheapies for spring.

Muguet des Bois is a wet, green floral. It’s like lily-of-the-valley drenched in dew. The opening of Muguet des Bois is green aldehydes. The heart is a dewy spring floral with an emphasis on the lilies. The dry down is like spring with a hint of forest floor.

Notes listed include aldehydes, orange, green leaves, bergamot, cyclamen, lilac, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, rose, sandalwood and musk. Launched in 1941. PERFUMER – Henri Robert

I’m sure like all over Coty perfumes that this one has been reformulated beyond recognition. My bottle is from 2005 and it is anemic in comparison to the vintage. It’s almost like a pale Chanel Cristalle. However, I like it. It’s cheap pick-me-up.

It’s difficult to find this perfume these days. I sometimes see it at drugstores. It can sometimes be found at discounters like Perfume.com.

  1. My mom always wore this! Thank you for telling me where to find it. I’ve been wanting to buy it for her for years!
