Are you ready for Round 2? A few weeks ago I reviewed three of the new six perfume oils from Providence Perfume Co. And here’s my impressions of the rest in this new collection:
Summer Yuzu with notes of sunflower, cedrat, aglaia flower, yuzu, grapefruit, tomato and frankincense
Summer Yuzu is tangy! It’s a very realistic yuzu with citrus. Summer Yuzu reminds me more of winter because it reminds me of yujacha, a Korean tea that’s basically a yuzu marmalade that you drink to “treat” colds. Oh, but I spoke too soon! The bitter green tomato leaves make an appearance, reminding me of summer. Summer Yuzu blooms into citrus blossoms and dries down to lemon-y resins.
Give it a try if you like citrus scents. Or if you like perfumes like Smell Bent Tok’yo Mama, Fresh Sugar Lemon and/or Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Yuzu marmalade. I’m sure this one is great in the summer but it’s also a great pick-me-up in the winter.
Ivy Tower with notes of narcissus, mimosa, blue tansy, lily, sandalwood, geranium and jonquil.
Ivy Tower is like a spring floral – cool and dewy. It’s a green narcissus. Cool spring showers and spring florals. As it warms on the skin, it becomes a powdery lily and mimosa over sandalwood. It’s gorgeous.
Give Ivy Tower a try if you like cool spring florals or narcissus. Or if you like perfumes like CB I Hate Perfume Jonquil, Artemisia Ondine, April Aromatics Liquid Dreams and/or DSH Perfumes 1000 Lilies.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Dewy, green spring floral. It’s a lovely perfume.
Orange Blossom Honey with notes of honey, vanilla, neroli, balsam, tonka, orange blossom, ginger and sweet orange.
Orange Blossom Honey reminds me of sweet hay with orange peels. With wear, this perfume become sweeter and really does remind me of its name. It’s orange blossom honey with beeswax – sweet, gooey and golden with tart blossoms. I expected for this scent to get skanky and animalic and it does. It wears a musky, spicy honey with this indolic orange blossom that reminds me of jasmine. It dries down to a spiced beeswax.
Give it a try if you like honey scents or honeyed florals. Or perfumes like Pirouette Perfume Gold Souvenir, Aftelier Honey Blossom and/or Sweet Anthem Lucille.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Orange blossoms and spiced honey. If you like beeswax/honey scents, this is one worth sampling.
Projection and longevity are average for an oil medium. These wear close the skin and will need reapplied if you want “all day” wear. I average about 4 hours of wear with these. The notes in these are more volatile (citrus and spring florals).
The 5ml perfume roll on retails for $50 at Providence Perfume Co. Samples are also available for purchase.
• Here’s my reviews of the other three in the collection: Violet Beauregarde, Rose 802 and Sweet Jasmine Brown.
