Providence Perfume Co. Ginger Lily EDP Natural Perfume Review

Providence Perfume Co. Ginger Lily

Naturals Week – April 22-29

Providence Perfume Co. Ginger Lily is a spicy floral amber that will warm you up.

At first spritz, I get a spicy orange with a little bit of dill. Yes, dill. After 3 minutes, I get a heady, creamy tropical florals with ginger and a juicy bitter orange oil. By 10 minutes, all of this has meshed together creating a lovely spicy floral. The ylang-ylang in this perfume is amazing. It has a natural fruitiness. With the base, the dry spices warm up making this a very fiery fragrances. It skips over the “warm” genre and jumps right into hot. You can feel the heat with this one. Since it’s an all natural fragrance it is a “slow burner”. With even more time I get dry spices mixed with a styrax-amber. Love this base-base (the base I never expected).

I really enjoy this fragrance in the winter. The florals are thick and the spices are hot like a roaring fire. But, I’ve also worn this scent in warmer weather and the florals really bloom. It seems to be one of those scents that adjusts perfectly with the seasons. But, it has gotten me through many cold nights. Like I said, it’s like a roaring fire. In warmer weather, it wears “fresher”.

Notes listed include ginger, black pepper, bitter orange, mango, ginger orchid, mai rose, ylang-ylang, styrax, cognac, amber, vetiver, and copaiba.

Give Ginger Lily a try if you like spicy scents or spicy florals.  I truly can’t think of another scent like Ginger Lily. Give it a try if you like LUSH Ginger, Jo Malone Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, Serge Lutens 5 o’clock Gingembre, and/or Penhaligon’s Malabah. Ginger Lily is a natural but you don’t have to be a fan of naturals to enjoy it. It seems more balanced than other naturals.

The scent has average projection and longevity. I would say above average for a natural perfume.

A 5ml rollerball is available at Beautyhabit for $45.

Victoria’s Final EauPINIONHeady florals and hot spices. If you like spicy scents, try this.
