Cocoa. Tuberose. Two polarizing notes that made an unexpected power couple that leaves cocoa lovers and haters and tuberose lovers and haters wanting more.
Providence Perfume Co. Cocoa Tuberose opens as a dark and earthy cocoa with a couple of spoonfuls of sugar. I love gourmands, so I’m loving this gourmand opening. It’s delicious. If I sniff “closely” I get an interesting coolness, it reminds me of wormwood pastilles that I can get at the Korean bakery mixed with “cool” green tuberose. Cocoa Tuberose is earthy, dark, delicious. It starts to smell like pipe tobacco – sweet, boozy and honeyed. Most of the wear of Cocoa Tuberose is that sweet pipe tobacco with a delicate, buttery tuberose. Don’t expect a big ‘ole tuberose. Cocoa Tuberose is more about the cocoa and tobacco. It’s nice to see tuberose take it easy for once.
Cocoa Tuberose is one of those that smells great from afar and will get people’s attention. I have had people stop me on the sidewalk demanding to know what I was wearing because they wanted it for themselves.
Notes listed include dark African cocoa, tuberose, tonka, vetiver, and wormwood. PERFUMER – Charna Ethier
Give Cocoa Tuberose a try if you are looking for a pipe tobacco or chocolate fragrance. Or if you like perfumes like Mugler A*Men, Aftelier Cepes and Tuberose, Histoires de Parfums 1969, Tom Ford Private Blend Tobacco Vanille, Costamor Tabacca and/or L’Artisan Parfumeur Vanille Absolument. Cocoa Tuberose is unisex and I think many guys will be surprised by how nicely it will wear on them.
Projection and longevity are above average.
A 5ml bottle retails for $45 at Beautyhabit.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Sweet pipe tobacco. It’s my absolute favorite chocolate perfume and my favorite perfume from Providence Perfumce Co.

Must try this. I have both the Costamor and TF. I’m not a tuberose fan. It wears me or really doesn’t like me. Most tuberose smells waaaay too much on me. Not just a big white floral, but a honkiin’ Huge white floral. My dh has asked me to check my shoes and my cats avoid me. Cocoa I like. earthy, bittersweet gourmand, but not. Thanks for the review!
Oh, if you like those two I really recommend this.
When I first had a sample, I was scared. Tuberose usually doesn’t work for me. All I could think about was something like Fracas with Angel. And that thought made my stomach turn. Good thing I was wrong! On my skin the tuberose is subtle and wears “buttery” perfectly mixing with the cocoa resulting in something that smells like sweet pipe tobacco. Being a fan of tobacco perfumes, this is great!
Poor kitties 🙁 lol
WHOA! Really? I’m a tuberose and chocolate lover, and I’ve never heard of these two combined, ever.
I’m going to write them for samples. Thanks for the suggestion! 😛 😛

I haven’t heard of it either and there really is no reason for there to be another one. This one is perfect IMO.
Thanks for the review! I’ve been contemplating this one but was scared off by the tuberose. Sounds like it might be worth a try.
Tuberose can be scary. However, it’s magical in this. I know so many tuberose haters that like this one.
This sounds great – I’ve been eyeing this one for awhile….and $26 dollars for 6ml is practically free. I’m heading over to BeautyHabit right now.
Thanks for the review! How’s Seattle today?
It’s like a decant 😉 It’s a great way to try it. On my skin a little goes far.
It’s actually looking like spring here! A couple of clear days in a row too. I can’t complain.
I adore Cepes Tuberose, actually any tuberose and this sounds awesome, definitely added to my list!
