Pirouette is a Seattle-based perfume and bath/body line that I’ve been enjoying for years. The line has expanded their perfumes with Gold, a collection. Wander Lust is a perfume inspired by that desire to travel the world.
Wander Lust is a smoky, leather fragrance that is like a desert bonfire. It’s dry, woodsy and hazy. There’s pine tar and lived in cowboy boots. Henna gives the impression of both hay and mud. Wander Lust wears as a rugged mix of leather and antiseptic-ish wood tars with delicate spices.
These sort of smoky scents aren’t for everyone; however, these sort of smoky scents have their fans. And you know who you are 🙂 If you like smelling like rugged cowboy boots and campfires, this is one worth sampling.
Notes listed include black tea, saffron, ambrette, rosewood, henna, cacao, pinewood, leather, tobacco, sandalwood, nagarmotha, smoke and spice. Launched 2013. PERFUMER – Karen Gold-Reinke
Give Wander Lust a try if you like smoky scents. Or if you like perfumes like Tauer Lonestar Memories, Sonoma Scent Studio Winter Woods, Roxana Illuminated Perfumes Impromptu, Eau d’Italie Bois d’Ombrie and/or Knize 10. Wander Lust is unisex but it does lean more masculine.
Projection is below average. Longevity is above average.
Wander Lust comes in a few sizes with the 1 oz retailing for $130 at Pirouette. Samples are also available for purchase.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Smoke and leather in the desert. One to try if you can’t get enough of “bonfire”-like fragrances.
