The results are in for EauMG’s first ever Perfume Pals Best of Awards! Thank you to everyone that took the time to vote.
Here are the two winners from each category:
Mainstream
Tom Ford Sahara Noir
This luxurious frankincense won with 40% of the vote. Seriously Mainstream, give us more perfumes of this quality.
Marni Marni
This was a write-in! It won with 15% of the vote.
Niche – Larger Distribution
Serge Lutens La Fille de Berlin
This delicate rose won with 23% of the vote.
Amouage Fate Man and Women
Amouage won with 19% of the vote.
Niche – Smaller Distribution
Viktoria Minya Hedonist
Viktoria Minya’s luxurious intro fragrance won with 23% of the vote.
Neela Vermeire Creations Ashoka
This fourth fragrance by Neela Vermeire Creations won with 22% of the vote (so close!)
FYI – Ashoka was closely followed by Tauer Moontide Petals.
Natural
Aftelier Cuir de Gardenia
Aftelier’s latest launch won with 15% of the vote.
April Aromatics Calling All Angels
Another write-in! This incense, which first made its introduction to the US in January 2013, won with 13% of the vote.
Due to the small size of these brands and their limited distribution, I’d like to note that 41% of voters did not like/try these 2013 launches. Let’s try to get these sort of quality perfumes into more people’s hands in 2014 🙂
Collection
Tom Ford Atelier d’Orient
Tom Ford wins again with 24% of the vote.
DSH Perfumes Passport to Paris
This indie collection launched in late 2013 won with 13% of the vote.
House
Jul et Mad
This rather new French-based house won with 18% of the vote.
Phoenicia Perfumes
This indie house won with 13% of the vote (closely followed by the write-in April Aromatics).
This category was more “evenly distributed” than the others. Voting was very close for many of these. If I were to give out a third place, it would have had five ties!
Once again, thank you for voting! About 100 perfume lovers and readers of EauMG voted, thank you so much!
I really need to get my hands on those Amouages and that Aftelier….
Fun! I don’t know Phoenicia at all. Must get on that. (I’m curious what the five-way third place would have been though!)
Amouage Fate is SOOOO GOOOOOOD.
I’ve got to try those Amouages. Actually, I need to try more of the Amouages!
OK – It was: Ann Gerard, House of Matriarch, Charenton Macerations, Vagabond Prince and the write-in April Aromatics. All at about 10% of the vote.
Let’s do it again next year! 🙂

We should!
And I need to start making a folder of things launched this year. It’s so easy to forget what comes out earlier in the year.
