Perfume Deals Roundup – September 2017

Anne St. Marie

I’m trying so hard to limit my purchases this year. I’ve accumulated so much. I’ve downsized. Blah, blah, blah. But, do you have any idea how difficult it is to be a blogger in the realm of beauty/fragrance that doesn’t want to buy anything?! It’s difficult. There’s always new releases. There’s always a gift with purchase. There’s always a sale. There’s always a temptation! However, I’m making some improvements. I check my stash before I buy and I’ve unsubscribed from a lot of emails to resist temptations. But, I’m still a blogger. I spend time on retailer sites looking at new products, etc. This doesn’t really help with temptations, but at least now I know I don’t have to buy all the things. I’ve decided to share my research with you, so I don’t feel like I’m wasting my time 😉 Here’s some deals that I’ve noticed this month (sorry, but I’m an enabler).

In the September edition, I wanted to focus on “transitional” perfumes. These are the sort of perfumes that work on those random warm days but also will get a lot of use in the upcoming cooler months.

Ineke Scent Library

1. INeKE Scent Library – So, this is like a little sampler of fun stuff for fall. It contains five 2.5ml spray samples. I adore Sweet William and Scarlet Larkspur for fall and the other ones like Angel’s Trumpet are great transitional scents. This cute “book” set is currently on sale for $12.50 at B-Glowing. You can read my reviews of each of these here.

Burberry for Women

2. Burberry for Women – My recent Kat Von D review reminded me of how much I love this perfume. It opens with a harvest of stone fruits (peaches and apricots). The rest is a warm woodsy floral with a vanilla-amber dry-down. It’s the sort of perfume that reminds me of when the shadows get longer – it doesn’t feel like autumn but you know it’s almost here. I mean, it’s Burberry. That in itself has me thinking of checkered scarfs and chic trench coats. The 1 oz goes for about $20 (with coupon, whatever that means) at Full review here.

Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline

3. Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline – I just reviewed this one. I went on about how it’s not the original. However, it’s a likable perfume that’s grown on me. It’s a modern, abstract woods fragrance that opens with pear. It’s one of those that works when it’s mild out (or you aren’t ready for fall/winter fragrances just yet). Or when you feel like wearing a t-shirt and jeans. It’s a good choice for a lazy fall autumn brunch. The 1.3 oz bottle goes for about $26 (with coupon, whatever that means) at They also offer free shipping. Full review here.

The Body Shop Smoky Rose

4. The Body Shop White Musk Smoky Rose Perfume Oil – This isn’t as dark and smoky as you’d expect with a name like “Smoky Rose”, but it’s a great sweet, jammy rose with a fall harvest of fruits. It’s not the longest wearing perfume, but the price is good. I like the oil because it’s a little more “concentrated” and it layers nicely with other rose or amber perfumes. I also like the oil packaging with the little dabber thing. It puts on a good show when applying to pulse points. Currently on sale for $12 at The Body Shop. They EDT is on sale for under $9 too if you’d like that better or would like to layer these.

Ramon Monegal Cuirelle

5. Ramon Monegal Cuirelle – This isn’t the cheapest perfume out of this post, but I was surprised to see that a few of these are on sale. Cuirelle is one of my favorite Ramon Monegal perfumes. It has a cosmetic thing going on – like rose-scented lipstick and violet-scented dusting powder. But, it has some added sultriness with amber incense and honeycomb. It’s warm with a va-va-voom quality. It’s currently on sale at Beautyhabit for $148 for the 1.7 oz (that’s the heavy, luxurious feeling bottle with the Bakelite lid). Full review here. PRO TIP: check out Beautyhabit’s “Special Offers” page. They usually have very generous gift with purchases.

You don’t have to spend a fortune to smell great. This is a good thing to remember when all new perfume launches seem like they cost more than a plane ticket.

The disclaimers: I don’t offer a guaranteed low price. Price listed is what was listed on the site when I created the post. You may be able to find these cheaper somewhere else. I tend to mention sites that I personally shop from (these were deals I noticed while “window shopping”).

  1. Boo, the Scent Library is already sold out! But it was a killer deal, so I’m not surprised. Thanks for this list of deals. I too am trying to downsize and use up what I already have (I’ve taken to emptying full 1 mL samples on myself at night before I go to bed–my PJs smell amazing) but it’s so hard to pass up a good deal, and there’s so much out there I want to try!

    1. ARGH! I just saw that too. I guess because they’re running some sort of big GWP?? Oh, well. INeKe’s press did say to watch out because they may be on Hautelook in the next few weeks. They were on there not too long ago with crazy deals, like $19 for full-size bottles.

  2. So was at Old Navy getting a flannel shirt and saw some cheap – very cheap!!!- fragrances at the checkout. Gave Sea Salt and Fig by Kindred Goods (???) a try, and you know what? Pretty nice! And $12! A good way for a non-sea salt and fig note lover to have some fun for next to nothing (at least in perfume land finances).
