NEW: Smashbox Masquerade Fall 2010 Color Collection

Smashbox Masquerade

For autumn 2010, Smashbox has launched the Masquerade Collection. This collection features rich colors with shimmer and sparkle.

EYES: There’s the Masquerade Eye Shadow Palette that retails for $35. This palette contains 9 powder eyeshadows. The cool thing about this palette is that the 3 colors in each row coordinate with each other taking the “fuss” out of pairing colors. Colors include: matte peach, shimmery eggplant, perfect matte taupe, khaki with gold shimmer, pale honey gold shimmer, bronze shimmer, metallic muted purple, and twinkling navy blue. I have to say that every one of these colors work for me. There are 2 Liquid Liner & Lash Overlay in Bronze and Teal. These retail for $19. I am very curious about this product. The tip is a liner brush. You can use this formula as you would any liquid liner. However, this wand has a “mascara” like brush which you use to coat your lashes with this metallic shade.

LIPS: There are 2 Lip Enhancing Lip Glosses in Reveal (golden light brown shimmer) and Disguise (a golden warm pink). These retail for $19.

FACE: There is the Masquerade Baked Fusion Soft Light Palette that retails for $32. This is a rosy champagne shimmer complexion enhancer. It’s kind of like a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick. There’s a Masquerade Creamy Cheek Color & Brush in Intrigue, a warm pink. This goes for $29. One end is a cream blush and the other is a blunt blending brush.

I really like the Eye Shadow Palette since these are the colors that use the most and they are all housed in an easy to use case. I am curious about a few of the other products such as Creamy Cheek Color & Brush and Liquid Liner & Lash Overlay. Have you tried any of the colors from this fall collection? Have you purchased any? What do you think?

  1. I bought the eyeshadow palette and love it! The colors are very “fall” to me. Shimmers and metallics are very popular this year.

    1. I think the palette is very pretty too. I tend to like shimmers and metallics because they make my complexion “glow”. I need this when the seasons change and makes my skin look dull.
