Complaining about the weather in the Seattle area doesn’t help anything and I know that. You’ve heard me before and I’m going to say it again, I’m sick of it. This has been such a cool, foggy, and gloomy summer. Most of the U.S. is experiencing an inhumane heatwave, I don’t want this (and I really feel for you guys), but I do want some sunshine. NEST candles give me some sunshine. Yeah, it doesn’t give me my daily recommendation of Vitamin D, but it does provide some sunshine in my life. I love Grapefruit (review here). And now I love Orange Blossom. Orange Blossom is an endless summer.
With a name like Orange Blossom, one expects orange blossom. You do get that, but that’s not all. Orange Blossom is a tart white citrus floral with some some spice that occurs in orange blossom and other florals like freesia. Many cheaper orange blossom scents miss out on the real complexity of an orange blossom. NEST is playing that up. Mandarin zest adds some “glimmer” to this heady white floral. So, Orange Blossom is a heady summer white floral with tart citrus with a subtle spicy warmth. It’s more Southern California than it is eau de cologne.
Like all NEST candles, it burns evenly and slowly and has some amazing throw. It’s quite fragrant and a small candle fragrances a decent sized space. I keep NEST candles in the boxes when not in use. They are so fragrant you can smell them even when they aren’t burning!
Notes listed include orange blossom, orchid, tiare flower, freesia, tangerine, lemon, and musk.
I recommend this scent for anyone that loves orange blossom fragrances or white florals. Or if you like home fragrances like Antica Farmacista Orange Blossom, Lilac & Jasmine, Jo Malone Orange Blossom, Anthousa White Gardenia, and/or Hillhouse Naturals French Tulip.
NEST Orange Blossom comes in a few sizes with prices ranging from $14-$58. The line is available at Candles Off Main.
