Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume
I can’t explain it and I sure don’t understand it, but I have this weird obsession with Philosophy Amazing Grace. It isn’t the most sophisticated fragrance on the market and is sure not the most interesting. I find something very comforting about this scent. The only thing I can think of is that it reminds me of someone positive in my childhood, my second grade teacher. She always had a Victoria magazine and apparently must have work Egyptian musk.
This fragrance is a soft floral musk and the notes are pretty unidentifiable. It is a white floral with a mix of an Egyptian musk.
It is so strange that I like this. It is so unlike my other fragrance obsessions. It is soft, I typically like loud florals or spicy fragrances. It has a motivational message written on the label, which is so lame. When I wear it, it feels so “not me” but I guess that’s another reason to like it. It’s my maternal drag fragrance.
This perfume is available at Sephora.
Hi, I recently bought my own bottle of AMAZING GRACE and wanted to rave about it on my own blog. Came across your blog post, and can completely relate. 🙂 It IS an amazing scent.
[…] makes me feel comfortable and stable. I know it’s a popular fragrance but I really like it. My review here. This limited edition kit contains the perfume, body butter, and shower gel. It retails for $49.50 […]
Hi! I just found your site via Nouveau Cheap and I am so happy! I love fragrances. That being said, this post really hit home because I too like scents that are more dark, oriental, sweet and spicy. Amazing Grace isn’t like anything else I like. BUT, I love it!!! Whenever I want to feel happy and clean I spray Amazing Grace and love life. 🙂
I was really sick with Lyme Disease for three years and my beloved Shalimar, Allure, Angel and Lolita Lempicka were too “dirty” smelling. Then came “Amazing Grace” and it smelled so clean to me. Almost like no viruses or bacteria could stick to me when I was wearing it. Now I feel the same, but I do bring out may other faves too!
