Carolina Herrera EDP PerfumeReview

Carolina Herrera

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

Carolina Herrera perfume is a bit of an old-fashioned floral but that’s why I love it. It’s heady florals of jasmine, tuberose, honeysuckle and orange blossom. It’s all the WHITE FLORALS.

Carolina Herrera opens with citrus and flowers…like orange blossom. It reminds me of a viognier (white florals, citrus and honeysuckle). The heart is a trio of heady white florals: gardenia, jasmine, tuberose. For most of the wear, it’s white florals. The dry-down is warm woods with tuberose.

This fragrance really fits with the timeless elegance of Carolina Herrera’s dress designs.

Years ago I was waiting in line, a woman with an Argentine accent said she liked my perfume. She told me her husband had purchased her the pure parfum in the late 80’s and how badly they wish they could get their hands on that again. I can only imagine how glamorous and amazing the pure parfum must be!

I would say that you would love this if you loved jasmine and tuberose based fragrances such as Piguet Fracas , Patou Joy, Micheal Kors, Marc Jacobs, Jo Malone Honeysuckle & Jasmine, Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia, Chantecaille Le Jasmin,  and/or Serge Lutens Fleurs d’Orange.

The 1.7 oz retails for $78 at Macy’s. It can also be found at discounters like Perfume.com.
