This is a beautiful vintage look inspired by French actress Beatrice Altariba. I love orange lipstick! To get this look:
FACE: Beatrice has an even and dewy complexion. Apply a primer if needed. I like Illamasqua Satin Primer because it illuminates the skin and contains sunscreen. Apply a cream foundation such as Shiseido Advanced Hydro-Liquid Compact Foundation in your shade. Apply with the sponge and blend. Apply concealer if needed. Paul & Joe Under Eye Concealer is nice for dark circles. Orange lipstick will wash out most complexions. Apply a loose powder that is a shade darker than usual. I love Everyday Minerals Kaolin Powder in Soft Bronze. This adds a faint glow and it absorbs oil. Apply a sheer coral blush to the apples of the cheeks with a fluffy blush brush. Use a blush like e.l.f. Mineral Blush in Coral. Apply a small amount for a faint glow.
EYES: I love Beatrice’s natural looking brows. They look very modern, huh? Sweep a tinted brow gel such as Benefit Speed Brow over perfectly groomed brows. Take a light beige shadow such as the lightest shade found in Almay Intense i-Color Shadow Trio in For Browns and apply it from lash line to brows. Take the medium brown shade in the same trio and apply from lash line to crease, blending for a natural look. Take a liquid liner in a brown shade such as Maybelline Lineworks Ultra Liner Waterproof in Dark Brown and line the top lash line. Start at the inner corner of eyes and line the entire top lash line, slightly “winging” out for a vintage look. Curl lashes and apply a few coats of mascara to top and bottom lashes. You can use a voluminous mascara such as Smashbox Bionic Mascara.
LIPS: To the orange lips! My favorite part! Make sure lips are smooth and chap free. You can marinate lips with a lip balm while applying the rest of your face. I always recommend Smith’s Rosebud Salve. Line lips along the natural lip line with a coral lip liner such as Estee Lauder Double Wear Lip Pencil in Coral. Apply an orange lipstick directly from the tube. Try a pure orange such as Lime Crime Lipstick in My Beautiful Rocket. Such a beautiful look! I love it for summer.
Since I see this more of a summer look, I’m thinking of an energizing orange blossom fragrance such as Tom Ford Private Blends Neroli Portofino.
UPDATE: Post is old so not all products are available, but you get the idea.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! We may be going to the coast. We haven’t been in way too long. It’s such a beautiful drive. *You know I take vintage makeup tutorial requests. Any you want to see in the near future?
