More of the 1960’s: Get The Look of Tuesday Weld

This look is a bit “drier” than what I like but I’m a sucker for orange lipstick. Here’s what I did to get this 1960’s Tuesday inspired look:

FACE: With a foundation brush, I applied Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation in Buff 3. I need more coverage under the eyes, so I applied Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer in Soft Honey. With a powder brush, I applied Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent. Under the cheek bones, I applied with a blush brush, Everyday Minerals Matte Blush in Weekend Getaway, a pale matte peach.

EYES: Brows are exaggerated. I applied, with a heavy hand, e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Lifter & Filler in Ash, this color really matches Tuesday’s. This product is waxy and will tame brows too. With a large eyeshadow brush, I applied Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadow in Positive, a matte beige, from lash line to brows. With a wet liner brush, I applied Clinique Water-Resistant Eyeliner in Natural Black, a cake eyeliner. I lined the top lash line with a “medium thickness” and elongated the line longer than the natural lash line. I curled lashes and applied a few coats of Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara to top and bottom lashes. I have lash deficits so I applied a strip of Ardell lashescut in half.

LIPS: The only reason I like this look is because of the lip color. I applied with a lip brush Besame Enchanting Lipstick in Carmine, a satin red orange. I then blotted and applied transparent pressed powder to my lips, pressing with my fingers. This gives a matte look.

Now for a fragrance. It isn’t woody but I think it completes this look, Tom Ford Private Blend Arabian Wood, a green fragrance that reminds me of vintage formulas.

I can’t believe it is already Friday. I was so thrown off because of the 4th on Monday. Do you have any weekend plans? I don’t. I remembered that I am still renovating a house! My cousin and her partner coming out in August and frankly, I’m embarrassed by the current state of my house. I need to get this stuff finished. Ugh. Will it ever be over? Home restoration veterans tell me “no”.

    1. Thanks!

I’m glowy because of the product that I’m posting tomorrow. I love it! It’s a skincare product and my skin has never looked better. Just say’n 😉

    1. Thanks.

It doesn’t actually feel like summer has started here, note the black long sleeve dress. It’s been in the low 60’s-70’s, way more rain than usual. Today is nice, but really, I don’t like to wear makeup once it goes over 70. So, I play up the lips and slather on sunscreen.

      1. Yeah, it’s about 90 everyday here. Since I do go anywhere particularly nice, my routine is a tinted light moisturizer with a little more coverage under the eyes, bronzer, mascara and a fairly neutral lip. Trying to be summery and natural. But, it gets a little boring.

        1. Do a raisin or ruby gloss. Sheer but some color. Or a matte teal eye liner. Summery without being fussy.
