More 1930’s Fashion: Get the Makeup Look of Alice Faye

1930's Fashion Get the makeup Look of Alice Faye

Alice is sporting quite the look here with those interesting bangs. I may not like the hair but I do like a classic, matte red lipstick look. Here’s what I did to create a 1930’s inspired Alice Faye makeup look…sans the goofy poofy hair:

FACE: I applied Shiseido Stick Foundation in 020 with my fingers. With my Bobbi Brown Concealer Brush, I applied e.l.f. All Over Cover Stick in Apricot Beige under the eyes to cover up dark circles. With my mark Powder Brush, I dusted on Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent to absorb oils. I applied Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz down the nose and on the cheek bones for a “glow” with e.l.f. Blush Brush. With e.l.f. Fan Brush, I applied a dusting of Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher in Heather Silk, a satin berry pink blush, to the apples of the cheeks.

EYES: Brows are precise. I applied Lancôme Brow Pencil in Natural Blonde. To tame crazy brows, I applied mark Brow Factor Brow Gel. Eye makeup is natural. I patted on e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer and let it dry. From lash line to brows, I applied Alima Pure Pearluster Eyeshadow in Champagne, subtle neutral beige shimmer. In the crease, I applied Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow in Ingrid, a cool toned taupe shimmer. I closely lined top and bottom lash line with Jordana Eyeliner Pencil in Taupe. (Seriously my favorite pencil liner and it’s very cheap). I curled lashes and applied 2 coats of Lancôme Definicils Mascara in Black. I then applied Ardell Duralash Accents.

LIPS: There’s nothing subtle about these lips. I lined lips with NYX Lip Liner in Plush Red, a bold red. Directly from the tube, I applied Revlon Matte Lipstick in Really Red, a really red lipstick!

I feel like toping this look off with a powdery floral like Creed Jasmin Imeperatrice Eugenie.

BTW- My hair hasn’t grown that fast! I did this look a few weeks ago when my hair was much longer. Happy Friday and I hope you guys have an awesome weekend!
