When I first wore Masque Milano Terralba I was reminded of a place that I’ve never been. It’s a place on the Mediterranean coast. A little house with terracotta pots filled with herbs. A little house on built on a cliff. A little house surrounded by wiry evergreens and bright blue saltwater. The sun always shines on this little house.
Terralba opens as aromatic and peppery with balsamic greens. Yet, there’s an aquatic quality to Terralba – fresh and salty. It’s like where sea air meets a mountainous coast. The heart of Terralba is like a hot, dry day. It’s crunchy herbs, dried clay and sunshine. Usually I’m rather sensitive to immortelle but in this composition, it’s perfect. It’s like sweet, warm terracotta clay. The dry-down of Terralba is like a sweet evergreen forest – dried evergreen needles and tree sap.
I always appreciate a perfume that is what it says it is. This is a perfume that is meant to take you where evergreens meet the ocean. And it does. You don’t have to read the copy or even pay attention to the name to get this. And then you read the copy and it perfectly describes the scent you’re wearing.
Notes listed include clary sage, lemon, green tangerine, myrtle, thyme, curry leaves, everlasting flower (immortelle), lentise, juniper, cypress and cedar wood. Launched in 2013. PERFUMER – Delphine Thierry
Give Terralba a try if you like fresh, herbal scents or modern aquatics. Or if you like perfumes like LUSH Devil’s Night Cap, Hermes Equipage, Amouage Epic Man, Tom Ford Italian Cypress, Clarins Eau Dynamisante and/or Dior Eau Noir.
Projection is average. Longevity is above average.

Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Mediterranean evergreen – Your own Mediterranean villa. I’m all about about these “modern aquatics”. I love a perfume that actually reminds me of the sea. And this one does just that – where sea meets land.
