Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Fraiche Passiflore EDT Perfume Review

Maitre Parfumeur Fraiche Passiflore

I don’t have issues with fruity fragrances. I just have issues with finding fruity fragrances that I want to wear for more than an hour. I like the idea of them but get fed up with them rather quickly. However, there are a few that I could wear all day. Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Fraiche Passiflore is one of those.

Fraiche Passiflore oepns with fresh stone fruits and berries. It reminds me of raspberries and apricots with an icy coolness. With time Fraiche Passiflore gets more tropical. It reminds me of passionfruit and mangoes with a creamy but sharp sandalwood. That’s most of the wear on me – creamy sandalwood with a breeze of ripe tropical fruits.

As far as really fruity scents go, I like Fraiche Passilfore. The woods balance while enhancing the creaminess of the fruits and flowers.

Notes listed include white peach, raspberry, tagette, passion fruit, jasmine, pimento, sandalwood, and musk. Launched in 1988.

Give Fraiche Passiflore a try if you like fruity fragrances. Or perfumes like CREED Spring Flower, Keiko Mecheri Passiflora, Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling, Huitieme Art Manguier Metisse and/or Histoire d’Eaux Maladie d’Amour.

Projection and longevity are average.

The 3.4 oz bottle retails for $130 at Luckyscent and Luscious Cargo. Samples are also available for purchase.

Victoria’s Final EauPINIONCreamy mangoes and creamy sandalwood. Yeah, yeah, note list says peach but in the fragrance it reads like mango to me. This is one of those fruit scents that I actually like to wear. It’s fruity but a little more sophisticated than the usual offerings.

  1. I’m very interested in passion flowers but since I really don’t know what one smells like (I know that only a few species have the scent anyway), I fear that if I smell a passion flower perfume with a kaleidoscope of different notes I would get an inaccurate idea of what they truly smell like. However you do describe Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Fraiche Passiflore as beautifully tropical: I love apricot & mango in a fragrance, they smell incredibly soft and sweet, like a sunset 🙂

    1. It’s true that the other notes will most likely “cloud” your perception if you are looking to experience passion flower. Maybe one day you can smell the real deal! Visually, they are stunning too.

Like a sunset 🙂 I like that. This is one that I’m going to be happy to wear when it’s cool and gloomy in the winter. I’m going to need a reminder of a “happy place”.

    1. It is! Fruit and sandalwood makes a good combo.
While trying this one out, I was reminded how pleasant Huitieme Art Manguier Metisse is. Oddly, everyone complimented me when I wore that one even though I forgotten I was wearing it.

    1. It’s sweet on me (I mean it’s fruity sweet) but the woods keep it balanced on me. And that’s a good thing.
