Lucy B Royal Green Fig & Vanilla Woods EDP Perfume Review

Lucy B Royal Green Fig and Vanilla Woods perfume

Lucy B Royal Green Fig & Vanilla Woods is my new favorite “beach” scent. I’m totally taking this to Mexico with me. This perfume is a beautiful green fig paired with coconut milk and ambroxan-like driftwood. There are NO florals. What we have here is a “creamy green” fragrance.

Green Fig & Vanilla Woods opens up as green fig. Is this a surprise? πŸ˜‰ It’s crushed fig leaves and milky fig fruit. It then becomes a mix of sweetened coconut milk and warm woods. You better like coconut to wear this. Yeah, it’s linear, but it’s good. It’s warm and figgy and easy to wear. Sometimes I don’t want to wear a complicated perfume. I just want to smell good. This is the type of fragrance that will make me smell good. I say it’s my new favorite “beach” scent, but this fragrance can be worn any time of the year. It works in humid weather, hot weather and cool weather. I would wear it any time of the year, but I love fig fragrances.

Notes listed include green fig, green leafy notes, coconut, vanilla, and woods.

Give this fragrance a try if you love fig fragrances (those that are more woody and coconut) or if you are looking for a “creamy green”. Or if you like scents like Infusion Organique Buddha’s Fig, L’Artisan Parfumeur Premier Figuier Extreme (seriously, Lucy B is a great dupe of this one), Laura Mercier Fresh Fig and/or Susanne Lang Vanilla Coconut.Β

I find the lasting power very good. I get about 8 hours from a fragrance that retails for under $30. I really wish they’d make a body butter in this scent. That would be divine.

The 1.7 oz EDP spray retails for $28. There is a perfume oil roller-ball that retails for $24. It is available at Indie Scents. I think this is a great perfume for the money.

Victoria’s Final EauPINION – A green coconut-milky fig with a warm woodsy base. Extremely simple but good. My new favorite “beach” scent.

  1. My first “niche”fragrance was the extreme figuier by l”artisan parfumeur.Bought it in the Hague Netherlands at Celeste. http://www.celesteparfum.nl After one week (!!!!!) I dropped the bottle ( very haevy stopper) which was still in the box: all glass and a devine smelling box. I stood there like struck by lightning. And bought a new one, because I just adore it. I am a true fig addict!!

    1. πŸ™ Oh, that’s terrible! I’ve only had that happen once, Givenchy Organza. I still can’t smell Organza it was the strongest bottle break of all time πŸ™‚

I’m a fig addict too! I love fig fragances. Fig is my 2nd favorite note next to patchouli.

  2. Interesting! I’m not the biggest fig fan in the world, and I already have Womanity and Infusion Organique’s Buddha’s Fig. I may sample those to perhaps take.

I haven’t tried the Lucy B. line, though. Do you like others from this line? I AM a big floral girl and there is a pink frangipani, for instance…

    1. This is more coconut which surprised me. I think it’s a great beach scent.
I haven’t tried any of the other scents in the line but I want to. Erin of The Crushed Violet (store in KY) says that Pink Frangipani is very popular at her store.

  3. […] Lucy B. Royal Green Fig & Vanilla Woods Perfume Oil – For the price, this is a great fig. It’s sweet with vanilla and coconut but has a hint of green fig leaves. It’s like “creamy green”. It’s one of my favorite beach scents. Retails for $19 at Beautyhabit.Β Β An EDP spray is also available but I like how the oil emphasizes the perfume’s creaminess. Review here.Β  […]
